About me

I worked for some years in an editorial team at a magazine publishing house before becoming a full-time mother. Following my voluntary work with Home-start, a charity providing support to families with young children, I retrained to become a psychotherapist and counsellor. I am now an accredited therapist and have experience working with young adults in a university setting, individual clients within a counselling service and I have my own private practice in London where I see clients in person as well as offering on-line sessions via Zoom.

I believe that as humans, we are naturally drawn to being in relationship with one another and that it is through our earliest connections with our caregivers that we learn how to interact with ourselves and others. The problems that clients talk about are often relational in nature.

The quality of our relationship is therefore key to a reparative experience and positive outcome. My integrative training means that I can work flexibly using a range of different theories and practices. Each of us will have our own unique life experiences, narratives and challenges, so there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy. Instead, I am interested in hearing your personal story and working to understand how you think and feel, relate to yourself, others and the world.

I see clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger, relationship issues, low self-esteem, PTSD and complex trauma. Together we can focus on what you need from our sessions, and I can tailor how to go about it in a way that feels achievable, safe and manageable to you.
